I knew leadership would take sacrifice, but who knew that I would feel like leadership would consume my whole life. Once I became a leader it seemed like the work never ended.
I thought that once I had a team, the workload would be lighter, and I would not have to be involved the details. I needed to focus on strategic planning, networking, and leading all the moving parts.
Who knew that I would end up doing more work? I thought if I showed my team what to do, they would just do it. In reality, I trained them but still ended up doing the work!
I found myself spending a lot of time motivating them, explaining, re-explaining.
I desperately needed my team to take initiative, solve the problem, or if they had to come to me present some possible solutions.
I could not be everywhere at once, I needed my team to be my eyes, ears, and front-line problem solvers! I thought, maybe I just needed to delegate more responsibility! That what I read in books and heard on podcasts.
So, I tried it. I found team members who seemed like they could handle more responsibility and delegated. That didn’t work out. Some were trying to hard to make the others listen that it created more confusion, hurting the culture.
Another team member showed promise but when I gave opportunity to be creative and develop something. I presented a framework to get the team member stated and was available, if needed for support.
The results were disappointing!
After months of working on it the team member presented to me exactly what I gave as the framework, nothing more.
It suddenly became clear to me what I needed to do. I needed to help my team feel empowered, engaged, and prepared for delegation so they can champion their area!
I could have a Dream Team that can take responsibility and be extensions of my leadership.
I traded overwhelm for joy!
I discovered how to grow my team, connect them to the vision so they could accomplish the tasks!
Once I implemented what I learned, the organization was able to become more productive. The more efficient our team, the better we were able serve our customers and meet their needs!

Session 3: Building Relationships
Your team will discover how to connect with the other members of the team in order to create and maintain an environment conducive for success. They will learn how to build trust, know when and when not to collaborate, as well as how to deal with the different personality types of team members.
Session 4: Slaying the Giants
Your team will learn how to confront the challenges of leadership. They will recognize that while each challenge is different, and varies in intensity, they are a natural part of leadership. This module will identify common challenges of leading then equip the team with strategies to overcome those challenges, so they can face them with confidence.
Time management refers to managing something that does not belong to you. Time Dominion is understanding you own your time and you should be able to decide what you do with it.

The training will be delivered via live online. It is interactive, you will be able to ask questions as we complete tasks together. The details will be provided by email after signing up for the program.
Q. How long will we have access to the material
The material is available for your team to review as long as they are with your company. I only ask that they do not share the material with other businesses or anyone that has not taken the course.
Q: How many people can participate in the training?
The training is for your leadership team only. You can choose how many members of your team participate. You will need to ensure you are in a space where everyone can interact with me remotely.
Q: Will I need to purchase any materials?
No. Materials will be provided to you electronically. You may print them or work on them directly.
