The system is broken. This isn't new information, you knew change was needed when you answered the call to become an educator.
You thought you could be a part of that change to make things better for the students that you will serve.
What you didn't realize is how broken the system really is. The system is not designed to do what is best for students or other educators.
Now, you're wondering if you #quit. It's overwhelming and exhausting. You feel the burnout increasing daily.
So what do you do?
Your emotional health has to come first, but you don't want to give up on being an educator.
What if there was a way to rekindle your passion and facilitate real change?
Imagine facilitating real change in your school and district.
Imagine loving education again, and getting back to what you love most about it, helping students.
You can confidently ignite change; help your building be the place where everyone wants to be, and you do not need a title to do it.
Jamal led with sincerity to help me identify business opportunities I was missing. His program was so sound. Many times business coaches talk "at you" and tell you what you need, but this experience was completely different. He took the time to understand my business challenges and needs, then together we were able to design a program that allowed me pursue the most critical elements now.

I became an educator because I really wanted to make a difference, I wanted to help people live their full potential. It may sound cliche', but that was (and is) my heart's desire. I wanted to teach the group of students that no one wanted, the ones that seemed to be forgotten about but needed the most help, middle school students.
After I began teaching in a K-8 school, I realized all of the students needed me. They all had tremendous needs. To help meet those needs I took on more responsibility in the building, first as a team leader, then NWEA MAP testing coordinator, then coordinator of the school wide reading and math intervention.
Then I felt the desire, more like a call, to have a greater impact.
Just like you, I quickly realized making a greater impact would involve initiating change.
I learned how to be a catalyst for real, lasting change. Change that has a pace that is not a fad but is supported by the culture and systems of a school.
I learned how to have a voice in the presence of my supervisors.
I learned how to be a leader that was not based upon position or title but posture and influence.
I created this consulting offer as a way to share and help you apply what I learned serving as a catalyst for change in eduction. You will benefit from my training in business, teaching, school leadership, experience as a Principal turning around and accelerating schools, and over 20 years of studying (and applying) practical leadership principles.
I am going to Ignite the Champion in you to embrace and build influence so you can blaze a trail in your building.
